Material is supplied against your written specification with the mill test certificate, traceable to heat number. Send the grade and the sizes, or send the drawing and we will name the grade. We respond to any enquiry within 24 to 48 hours.

Heavy and special plate for shipbuilding, offshore engineering, wind power and pressure vessels is sourced from a specialist mill. Send the classification society or code your fabrication is being built to and we will confirm the grade against it before quoting.

Where abrasion-resistant plate earns its cost
Wear plate is bought on hardness and thickness rather than on tensile grade, and it is the same conversation as the wear parts and hardfacing we supply for bulk handling equipment. A chute lined once in abrasion-resistant plate and a chute hardfaced on a cycle are two answers to the same problem — we supply both, so the recommendation is not weighted toward one.
